T.I.'s legal team has about as much free time as Bishop Eddie Long's lawyers. Now, Carl D. Davis, a concert promoter has filed a lawsuit against T.I. in Alabama over a "Welcome Home Party."
In the court documents, Carl says he flew to Atlanta and gave over $80,000 to representatives for T.I. to confirm his performance. The situation got messy when T.I. hit local radio station 95.7 FM and stated that he would host the party, but not perform. Carl says T.I.'s announcement caused many fans to question the validity of the concert, resulting in an extreme amount of stress on him. He was ultimately hospitalized over the ordeal because he claims he lost his entire life savings of $350,000. Wow. That's a bit dramatic Carl, but if you invested a lot of money....I understand.
"Coupled with his financial expenditures since the inception of the agreement, Davis began to experience heavy stress, suffer chest pains, nausea, emotional distress and hospitalization because of the vast amount of investments he made," said Davis' lawyer.
Now that we have a financial figure, I think I'd probably have intense stomach pains too if I lost that much money. Let's see how T.I.'s team handles this.
