Kristen Stewart's role as a pot-smoking, foul-mouthed prostitute in Welcome to the Rileys is a far cry from the virginal, vampire-loving character who skyrocketed her to international fame. But true fans of the Twilight star know that she's much more than Bella Swan (case in point: her role as Joan Jett in the biopic The Runaways) -- and her edgy, dark turn in the upcoming indie flick (which hits select theaters on Oct. 29) serves as proof.
We offered iVillage readers the chance to ask Stewart a question, and hundreds of responses flooded in from countries all over the world. For example, Sandra from California wanted to know how playing a teenage prostitute changed Stewart's perspective on life.
"It really is just about a girl...who's trying to like herself and can't," Stewart, 20, explained in an exclusive interview with iVillage. "She ultimately finds that she's not totally cut off from the world, and she'll be much happier if she lets people in."
